Spiritual healing is an individual process, but everyone's soul needs a little soothing now and then. If you've been feeling emotionally overwhelmed and spiritually defeated, you need healing. The healing process doesn't take seeing an expensive specialist and visiting a fancy spa, though; all it might take is a very thoughtful trip to your bathtub.

1. Schedule Time to Take a Bath 

Set aside some quality time when you'll be completely free from interruptions, including children, pets, and your significant other. Give yourself a few hours of "me time" in the tub, whatever it takes. If your bathroom only has a shower stall, use a tub at a friend's house, or, if you have to, visit a nice hotel, because this is that important.

2. Think About What's Harming You, Then Write It All Down

Whether it's a mean boss, a lost love, or another negative twist of fate, you need to focus on whatever it is that's hurting your soul, then write it down. Nobody else will read this list; thus, you can be as honest as you need to be. Pour all the negativity onto the paper, leaving nothing out.

3. Prepare the Bath

4. Calmly Meditate On Your List, Then Set Fire To It

5. Talk To Yourself In A Nurturing, Loving Way

Repeat a mantra in your mind or out loud, indicating your victory over what was hurting you. Stay calm and relaxed, enjoying the sensory experience of the bath bomb. Talk to yourself much the way you would a child in need of reassurance, comforting your soul and explaining how everything is going to be okay from here on out.

6. Keep Your Physical And Spiritual Self Protected

If possible, avoid bumping into people you consider toxic to your soul, and start taking extra good care of yourself, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Eat right, sleep well, and engage in moderate exercise regularly. Physical health is the first line of defense for your soul, so keep your body strong, nurtured, and ready for whatever the world may throw at you.

7. Repeat As Needed

Don't delay spiritual healing when you know you need it, for waiting too long can really wear you out, leading to long-term complications, like anxiety, depression, and even cardiovascular problems. Stock up on your handmade bath bombs and anything else that serves your soul well, putting them to good use whenever you start to feel dragged down and burdened by elements in your environment.

Once you've been through a successful spiritual healing, you'll understand more about the complexity and depth of your soul. Just as if you'd had a broken arm or sprained ankle, your soul needed remedy. In the future, pay attention to the little clues your mind and body give you about how you're being affected by the negativity in the world, and return to your healing bath. You'll be stronger, more resilient, and ultimately, a much happier soul.
